Burruezo & Burruezo Goes to Cuba!

CLE Cuba

Carlos Burruezo & Bertha Burruezo will be traveling to Havana, Cuba on April 22nd in conjunction with Stetson Law School’s upcoming CLE titled “Destination CLE: Cuba – Explore Business Law in Havana.”   Since December 2014, President Obama has been making steady progress in reestablishing diplomatic ties with Cuba, a country unknown to many of us Americans due to the U.S.’s isolation of Cuba since the 1960’s.  Burruezo & Burruezo’s intention behind traveling to the culturally rich country of Cuba is to not only learn more about Cuba’s history, culture and people, but also to be a resource for its’ clients and colleagues desirous of expanding their reach into Cuba.  Based on the changes that have taken place since President Obama and President Castro announced their joint efforts to engage in new relations, the lawyers at Burruezo & Burruezo know that Cuba will now provide a host of potential new business opportunities for Americans.  However, these opportunities will necessarily present many questions surrounding how to do business in Cuba along with navigating possible legal issues.  Stay tuned for our Blog on Doing Business in Cuba!
